GLSL has finally arrived! So, I wrote some code to render out shiny quadrics:

 

I even gave parallax mapping a try:

 

GLSL tight integration with OpenGL is nice. There are a couple of annoying bugs in NVidia's implementation, but with time I'm sure things will get better.
