vr roller coaster November 2005

For years there has been some VR roller coaster code lying around Clemson University's VR lab. The code was originally written for use on an expensive SGI super-computer but when the VR lab moved to GNU/Linux, the coaster code ceased to work. One weekend, I decided to port the coaster code to Linux, the results of which can be found here:

I used SDL as a windowing toolkit and for input (replacing some old X code) and OpenAL for sound (replacing some SGI sound code). While I was at it, I added a "demo" mode, improved the mouse handling code, and ported the flock of birds code to libfob. I also improved support for the VR chair.

The VR coaster lives once again at Clemson University.
